BANGOR, Maine — A Bangor detective is asking the public to help find a local man wanted on six warrants and for violating his probation for robbery, theft and assault.

The wanted man is identified as Brandon R. Kahl, 27, who is from the Bangor area, according to Detective Brent Beaulieu of the Bangor Police Department’s Criminal Investigation Division.

According to the Bangor Daily News archives, Kahl was indicted by a Penobscot County grand jury in January 2010 for the robbery, theft and assault for which he is on probation. He was an Orono resident at that time.

The previous year, he was fined $500 and sentenced to 48 hours in jail for driving with a suspended license and given a 10-day jail sentence and ordered to pay $10.64 restitution for theft.

Kahl’s criminal history also includes a 24-hour jail sentence and $150 fine for violation of bail conditions in 2008 and convictions for violation of a protection order and driving with a suspended license in 2007, for each of which he was fined $250.

Anyone with information about Kahl’s whereabouts is urged to call Beaulieu at 947-7382, ext. 95746. Those who prefer to remain anonymous can leave a message on the Police Department’s tip line by pressing 6.

  1. Oh, no…I remember this guy from school.  :-(  I’m sad to see he’s gone down this road.

    1. Hey Sophie: do you choose the road or does it choose you?  There seems to be all kinds on this planet.  It IS sad and I don’t even know him.

  2. Is this dude the best buy guy who got the best buy. Dam the other picture looked almost like me. This one looks nothing like me.

  3. Dont think for a second this guy will do much jail time if actually found.  The police dont want to find him because he is some hardened criminal.  He is small time. They want to find him to pay his fines…plain and simple.  Our wonderful DA doesnt care about putting people behind bars, just getting his fines paid, we should all realize that by now.
