ORONO – The Eastern Maine Orchid Society announces their next meeting on Saturday, Feb. 19 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the University of Maine’s Clapp Greenhouse in Orono.
This month’s meeting will feature a presentation by EMOS Vice President Melanie Stanley “Orchids 101 – Growing Orchids In Your Home.” Stanley will touch on orchid culture, watering, lighting, and temperature as well as some common pests and problems and what to do about them.
There will be a short business meeting and light refreshments followed by the presentation.
