Wells girls top Maranacook to advance to B South finals

The third-seeded Wells girls basketball team punched their ticket to the Class B South finals after defeating Maranacook 46-31.

Wells improves to 14-6. Seventh-seeded Maranacook ends its season at 11-9.

Wells will play the winner of No. 1 Freeport and No. 5 Yarmouth for the regional title on Friday, Feb. 28, at 2 p.m. at the Cross Insurance Arena in Portland.
