Isahak Muse, 22, was shot and killed earlier this year.

Twenty-four-year-old Mark Cardilli Jr. has reportedly admitted to shooting Muse during an altercation in March, but told police he was defending himself.

He’s pleaded not guilty to murder and is free on $50,000 bail.

At Tuesday’s rally, Muse’s family argued it’s not fair that their loved one is dead, while his accused killer is free.

They marched from City Hall to the courthouse.

Demonstrators say it’s important to remind people about the Muse case, and demand justice for Isahak.

“Just the curiosity, people walking by, maybe they’ll look him up and they’ll learn something, so I’m very happy with the turnout,” demonstrator Evadne Bryan-Perkins said.

The attorney general’s office had no comment when contacted by CBS 13 about Cardilli’s bail.
