Augusta police investigate armed robbery at convenience store

Police are investigating a robbery that occurred early Friday morning in Augusta.

Augusta police received reports of a robbery that transpired at 12:10 a.m. on Jan. 18 at the Big Apple store on 36 Stone St. The caller said that one or more unidentified suspects entered the store, threatened the caller with a weapon and demanded an undisclosed sum of money. The suspect or suspects fled the scene before officers arrived.

The robbery remains under investigation.
