Maine State Police on Sunday identified the couple found dead inside their mobile home on Post Road in Richmond as Kirk Alexander Jr., 46, and his longtime girlfriend Niomi Mello, 37.
Autopsies were completed Sunday but the results will not be released until Monday, Stephen McCausland, spokesman for the Maine State Police said in an email.
Their bodies were discovered in the kitchen of the home by Mello’s 11-year-old son late Saturday morning, he said. He ran to a nearby convenience store to seek help.
The boy is now staying with his father, McCausland said.
