The University of Maine football team defeated Jacksonville State 55-27 in the Black Bears’ second-ever Football Championship Subdivision home game on Morse Field at Alfond Stadium in Orono.

The Gamecocks, who needed only three total plays to score their two touchdowns, are nonetheless 0-for-6 on third down and 0-for-2 on fourth-down conversions
