For more than a month, residents in an Augusta neighborhood have seen a lost sheep wondering the streets.
On Sunday, police caught up with this sheep on the run, bringing it back to its owner safe and sound.
According to a post on the Augusta Police Department’s Facebook page, the “escaped” sheep was “taken into custody today.”
The Hummingbird Lane neighborhood has been catching glimpses of this runaway sheep.
Despite theses sightings, Augusta’s animal control officer came “within a couple of ‘yarns’ of catching it,” the police post said.
Thankfully, Brenda Pinkham and her husband, who own an alpaca farm, snared the sheep for police to bring back home.
