AUGUSTA, Maine — Donald Trump’s campaign for president has announced that the Republican candidate’s son and daughter-in-law will tour Maine’s 2nd Congressional District on Thursday.

Eric and Lara Trump are scheduled to make the following stops:

— 1 p.m at Ricker Hill Orchard, 3 Ricker Hill Road, Turner. The orchard is owned by Republican Maine Rep. Jeff Timberlake, who sat behind Donald Trump onstage when Trump visited Portland in August.

— 2:45 p.m. at the Trump for President headquarters, 120 Center St., Suite 110, Auburn.

— 5:30 p.m. at the Trump for President headquarters, 849 Stillwater Ave., Bangor.

All three events are open to the public.

The visits to the three 2nd District locations come as Trump has a solid polling lead over Democrat Hillary Clinton in the northern part of the state and is within striking distance of her statewide. At stake are Maine’s four electoral votes, which could split between the candidates 3-1 if each wins one of Maine’s two congressional districts.

Trump’s campaign signaled last week that he would visit Maine on Thursday, but that event was later postponed. The new date has not been announced.
