HERMON, Maine — Joey Doyon of Winterport captured victory in the visiting Outlaw Super Series Saturday night at Speedway 95.
Ricky Burgess seemed to have the car to beat after taking the lead at lap 10, and holding on tightly until lap 36 when mechanical issues occurred and the caution flag took him out of contention for the win.
Kris Watson of Hermon, looking to extend his season-long streak, worked his way up the field from near the rear at the start to second place when the caution flag flew at lap 42, but he could not overtake Doyon.
Watson finished in second, Kris Matchett of Skowhegan was third, Dale Swoboda of Hermon was fourth and Michael Overlock of Franklin was fifth.
The Wicked Good Vintage Racecar Association had two feature races, the first had just a single caution with Keith Smalley taking the win, and the second feature suffered from five cautions with Tim Reynolds earning the top spot.
