MADAWASKA – Clarence Michaud, 50, suffered a heart attack and subsequently passed away on the evening of March 4, 2011. He is going to see his dad, Wilford Michaud, in heaven now.
Clarence always had a smile that could make anyone feel loved, always willing to help anyone no matter what it was, he had a hug that would rival that of a bear. He loved volunteering for various events, such as Rock the Valley. He was a beloved disc jockey and karaoke host, where he and his wife performed weekly and were well known throughout the valley. He also had an immense love for woodworking, of which many items can be seen throughout the valley from motorcycles in homes to huge strawberries, to ice cream cone signs. There was never a project that he couldn’t complete. Clarence was a wonderful husband, outstanding father and you simply couldn’t find a better friend. He will be dearly missed.
Clarence is survived by his beloved wife of 30 years, Tina Michaud of Grand Isle; three sons, Jesse, 29, of Virginia, Chad, 27, of Grand Isle and Clint, 24, of Japan; one grandson, Ian, 5, of Grand Isle; his mother, Noella Michaud of Madawaska; brother, Norm and his wife, Sue Michaud, of Madawaska; and sister, Debbie and her husband, Galen Fongemie, of Frenchville. He was predeceased by his father in 2005.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Monday, March 14, at St. Thomas Aquinas Church. Family and friends may call 6-8 p.m. Sunday and 9 a.m. until the time of service Monday at Lajoie Funeral Home, Madawaska. Spring burial will be at the parish cemetery.
