HARTLAND – Vivian Dunton, 92, gently passed away Feb. 8, 2007, in Hartland, where she was a lifelong resident. She was born May 25, 1914, in Hartland, the daughter of Charles “Fred” and Beryl (Hartwell) Cool. She attended the Fuller Corner Schoolhouse, Hartland. She later married her husband, Herbert J. Dunton, whom predeceased her December 1989. She enjoyed spending time with her family and being at home. Vivian had a special love for horses. She is survived by her son, Kerry Dunton of Hartland; her daughter, Rhonda Amsden of Kenduskeag; her stepchildren, Kenneth Dunton of St. Albans, Carol Leavitt of Newport and Betty Butler of Newport; grandchildren, Michael Dunton and his wife, Luci, of Pheonix, Katrina Dunton and her fianc?, Adam Parker, of Hartland, Jason Amsden of Kenduskeag; great-grandchildren, Nicholas, Amanda and Samantha Howe, Brandi Reynolds and Zachary Dunton; one great-great-grand-daughter, Jaidyn Reynolds, many loving nieces and nephews; two very special nieces, that cared for her, Althea Harris and Jackie Johnston. She was predeceased by her parents, her husband; one stepson, Gene Dunton, three brothers and six sisters. Visitation will be held 4-6 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 11, at Donald H. Shorey Funeral Chapel, 35 Hartland Ave., Pittsfield. A graveside service will be held in the spring at Pine Grove Cemetery, Hartland. Donations may be made in her memory to the Somerset Humane Society, P.O. Box 453, Skowhegan, ME 04976. Arrangements are entrusted to Donald H. Shorey Funeral Chapel, 35 Hartland Ave., Pittsfield.
