MILBRIDGE – Nancy C. (Lovejoy) Moshier, 75, formerly of Hopkinton, Mass. died Thursday, March 17, 2005, at a Milbridge health care facility. She was born March 17, 1930, in Gardner, Mass. the daughter of Harry and Harriet (Hersey) Lovejoy. Nancy was a survivor of the 1952 Polio epidemic in Massachusetts, and spent several years thereafter in hospitals and rehabilitation therapy. She was a graduate of Milford High School and worked for several years at the General Electric Company in Ashland, Mass. Nancy adopted the State of Maine as her own in 1979, and spent her happiest years there. Her devoted husband of 47 years, William L. “Papa” Moshier, died in 1996. She was also predeceased by two sisters, Jane McGlaughlin and Midge White; a son, Mark Moshier; and a daughter, Nannette Moshier. Nancy is survived by a daughter, Michelle Dorr and her husband, Lewis Phillip Dorr, and their children, Kirsti Nannette Dorr, and Harmon Curtis Dorr, all of Milbridge; a son, Steve Moshier and his wife, Mary, of Wither Harbor; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two brothers, Jerry Lovejoy and his wife, Nena of White River Junction, Vt., and Harry Lovejoy and his wife, Cindy, of Orange, Mass.; a sister, Sally Cunningham and her husband, Richard of Stuarts Draft, Va.; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She also leaves behind two very dear and special friends, Isabel Eastman of Foxboro, Mass., and Marietta O’Clair of Milbridge. At her request, there will be no services.
