GRAND ISLE and VAN BUREN – Adrien Cormier, 76, died Oct. 4, 2004, as a result of a motor vehicle accident in Hamlin. He was born July 7, 1928, in Van Buren, the son of Francis and Mary (Gagnon) Cormier. He was employed as a heavy equipment operator for a number of years. Adrien was an Army veteran of the Korean War and a member of the American Legion, Levasseur-Farrell Post No. 49 of Van Buren. Adrien is survived by four daughters, Velma Clement and her husband, David, of Mohave Valley, Ariz., Sandra Edgecomb and her husband, Greg, of San Antonio, Texas, Karen Edgecomb and her husband, Michael, of Spruce Head Island, Kim Gendreau and her husband, Andy, of Van Buren; two sons, Kenneth Cormier and his wife, Cheryl, of Grand Isle, Toby Cormier and his wife, Paula, of Camden; one brother, Lawrence Cormier of Van Buren; six grandchildren and one great-grandson. Relatives and friends may call at the Ouellette-Thibault Funeral Home, 118 High St., Van Buren, from 6-9 p.m. on Tuesday and from 9 a.m. until time of service on Wednesday. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the St. Bruno-St. Remi Catholic Church. Committal service and interment will be in the parish cemetery.
