Top-seeded Boothbay’s undefeated season will continue, after the Seahawks cruised to an easy 55-23 victory over No. 13 Madison in the C South semifinals at the Augusta Civic Center on Thursday.
Boothbay’s record improves to 20-0 on the season. Madison’s season ends at 7-14.
The Seahawks now move on to the regional finals, where they will face off against North Yarmouth Academy at 7:05 p.m. on Saturday at the Augusta Civic Center.
This is the second season in a row Boothbay has made it to the C South regional finals. They fell to Monmouth Academy 51-47 in last year’s contest. NYA knocked Monmouth out of the tournament in the quarterfinals this year.
