Mashable brings Social Media Day to Maine

Posted June 30, 2014, at 10:54 a.m.

Food trucks, music, beer and Monday? If you can hashtag it, it counts as work for the technically connected.

Pine Tree State’s twitterati unite tonight in Falmouth for the fifth annual Social Media Day Maine.

Organized by Mashable, the worldwide tweetup with burgers, mini donuts and a shuttle from the Old Port, is the hottest ticket for a holiday week.

The event discusses how people use social media in 2014. See this nifty vid for pointers. It’s true, you never forget your first social network, but now the average 18 to 44 year old checks five every week. We are all playing the field.

What are Maine’s social adept favoriting now? Guest speakers — Nathan O’Leary, Mainely SEO, Rob Gould, social media blogger and  Rich Brooks, Flyte New Media, tell all.

See you at Tide Smart Global Tonight. #SMDayME.
