AUGUSTA, Maine — A local man was indicted by a grand jury on 90 counts of burglary and theft on Friday.
Justin Ross, 36, whose last known address was in Ellsworth, is suspected of committing a rash of thefts and burglaries in central Kennebec County over a three-month period last year, Kennebec County District Attorney Maeghan Maloney said.
Ross is incarcerated at the Kennebec County Jail.
Maloney said Ross’ next court appearance is Feb. 11, where he is expected to enter a plea.
Ross was arrested in October by Kennebec County sheriff’s deputies after a burglary in Vienna.
Deputies were able to take Ross into custody after a suspicious vehicle was found in the driveway of a residence that Ross allegedly had broken into with numerous stolen items in it.
“The whole case unfolded at that point,” Maloney said.
The district attorney also believes the burglaries may have been drug-related.
