SKOWHEGAN, Maine — Six people were arrested Thursday after a bust in which 16 grams of heroin and 10 retail bags of heroin were seized, police said.

Two apartments on Sherwood Drive were searched thanks to an investigation regarding drug trafficking in Skowhegan, according to Maine Drug Enforcement Agency commander Darrell Crandall.

The following people were arrested: Allisha Savage, 24, and Darcy Soucier, 39, both of Skowhegan; Prince Taylor, 31, of Brooklyn; Kareen Woods, 20, of Roxbury, Mass.; Brian Jenkins, 23, of Dorchester, Mass.; and Rashard Perkins, 28, of Leominster, Mass.

Police are also seeking the whereabouts of Jason Savage, 22, of Skowhegan, who fled one of the apartments during the search and is wanted for questioning, Crandall said.

Savage was charged with three counts of trafficking in heroin and crack cocaine; Soucier and Taylor with trafficking in crack cocaine, Woods and Perkins with possession of crack cocaine and Jenkins with possession of heroin.

All six suspects are being held at the Somerset County Jail, and more arrests are expected.
