Body found in Livermore woods

LIVERMORE, Maine — The remains of a human body were found in the woods off Route 4 on Monday afternoon.

A spokesman for the Androscoggin County Sheriff’s Department confirmed the discovery by workers for Lucas Tree Experts, who were in the area near 83 Federal Road, also known as Route 4. The location is less than a half-mile from the Livermore Falls border.

“We have a couple detectives” assisting the Androscoggin County Sheriff’s Department, which were requested, Maine State Police spokesman Stephen McCausland said Monday evening.

When asked if the body found may be that of missing Livermore Falls man Nathaniel “Nathan” Paradis, McCausland said, “We are aware of that, [but] not sure of any connection.

Paradis has been missing since he left his girlfriend’s home on Meadowbrook Road in Livermore Falls on foot after an argument June 12.

Paradis parents contacted police June 21 to report him missing.
