Earle Stanley ‘Sonny’ Tyler Jr.

BANGOR and MILBRIDGE – Earle Stanley “Sonny” Tyler Jr., 84, died June 25, 2013. He was born April 15, 1929, in Boston, son of Earle S. and Isabel (Parker) Tyler Sr.

Earle was a fighter pilot in the U.S. Air Force for 11 years with service in both the Korean and Vietnam wars. He was a graduate of Noble and Greenbough School. Earle received his bachelor’s degree from Dartmouth College, and his law degree from Boston University. He loved to play Bridge and weight lifting. Earle was a member of the Breakfast Club at McDonalds on Broadway.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Ida Morse. Earle is survived by sons, Jim Tyler of Dover, N.H., Sam Tyler and wife, Amy, of Bangor, and Jeremy Tyler of Boston; daughter, Jennifer Tyler of Gainesville, Fla.; and grandchildren, Corbin Tyler and Chelsea Tyler.
