Mary A. Morrison

BANGOR and OLD TOWN – Mary A. Morrison, 87, died peacefully May 14, 2013, at a Bangor hospital after a brief illness. She was born Nov. 25, 1925, in Old Town, daughter of Emile and Hazel (Sinclair) St. Louis.

Mary worked for many years in the food service industry, first at Old Town High School cafeteria, then Bangor City Hospital and finally retiring after many years as Dietary Manager at Treat Falls House, Orono. “Nanny” as she was known to her family, pets and friends will be lovingly remembered for her many acts of kindness.

Mary was predeceased by her parents; husband, James B. Morrison; brother, Robert St. Louis; and nephew, Robert St. Louis Jr. She is survived by three children, Carol Gardner and husband, Dennis, David Morrison and Cynthia White and husband, Dan; grandchildren, James and Kathryn Gardner, Jill and Frederic Harlow, Geoffrey Surette, Jeremy Dixon and Jennifer Dixon; great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn and Isaac Fishel, Dan Gardner and Mike and Emily Gardner; great-great-grandchildren, Isabella, Mica, Alivia, Benjamin and Andrew; brother, Raymond Williamson; sister-in-law, Gail St. Louis; nephew, Jay St. Louis and Marie; good friends, Pauline Haley, Shirley, Craig and Anna Morrison. A special thank you to the Meadows Staff in Old Town and the East Side Living Center, Bangor, for their wonderful and attentive care given by the warm and caring staff.
