The Bangor Region Chamber of Commerce supports accepting federal money to help expand Medicaid in Maine, according to the Associated Press.

The chamber’s board passed a resolution endorsing a provision of the Affordable Care Act that offers federal money to states that are willing to expand their Medicaid programs.

Maine government officials have not yet ruled on whether the state will expand MaineCare, which is Maine’s Medicaid program, as part of the Affordable Care Act.
