POLAND – Audrey J. White, 85, passed away peacefully March 9, 2013, surrounded by her family at Hospice House, Auburn. She was born March 4, 1928, in Mars Hill, the daughter of James and Jean Harrison.

She married William M White Jr., April 17, 1949. She worked and volunteered in retail, social services, foster care and churches throughout her life, still actively volunteering at Good Shepherd Food Bank until just days before her death.

She is survived by her son, Mark White of Louisiana; daughter, Cleta Walsh of Westbrook; daughter-in-law, Peggy White of Mechanic Falls; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and many foster children. She was predeceased by her husband, William, in 1995; and son, Bruce White.

There will be no services at this time. A private burial will take place in the spring at Maine Veterans Cemetery, Augusta. Arrangements under the care of Oxford Hills and Weston Funeral Services, 1037 Main St., Oxford. Online condolences may be expressed to the family at
