BREWER and HOULTON – Ira “Bud” Adams, passed away peacefully Feb. 14, 2013. He was born in 1927, in Washburn, to Ira and Georgia (Alley) Adams Sr.
He served in the Army and was stationed in Japan during the occupation toward the end of World War II. After returning from Japan he worked and retired from Pratt and Whitney, Connecticut, then owned and operated Adams Radiator, Houlton for many years. He really enjoyed fishing and spent many hours on E Grand Lake, Orient, with friends and family. He also loved to talk and tell stories to anyone that would listen and he had many great ones to tell.
He is survived by his wife, Beverly (Lee) Adams and their children, Kathryn and Aric Williams, all of Brewer. He is also survived by a daughter, Elaine (Adams) Webb and her family; and a son, Michael Adams and his family. He is survived by a brother, Laurel and Angie Adams of Florida; sisters, Shirley Mason and Marilyn White of Connecticut; and a brother, Winston and Renate Adams of Virginia. He is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents, sons, David Adams and Morris Adams; brothers, Harold and Reginald; and sisters, Elaine Adams, Dorothy Sloat, and Cleo Drake. We would like to especially thank the staff of Bangor Veterans Home.
