BANGOR – Clinton H. Partridge, 70, died, Feb. 10, 2013, at a Bangor nursing home. He was born May 7, 1942, in Milo, the son of Leonard Sr. and Verna (Brown) Partridge.
Clinton Harold Partridge graduated from South Mountain High School in Pheonix. After graduation, he served with the U.S. Army for several years in the 101st Airborne Division. He retired from 37 years of service at Canteen in Bangor. He was known to enjoy a good game of golf, and thoroughly loved ministering to others through music. He played the guitar with his friends in a little unknown band known as the “Late Edition.” He was known as a very compassionate, kind and loving husband, father, and grandfather. He had the heart of a caregiver, and this evidenced itself most as he cared for his late wife, AnnaMae.
Clinton is survived by his son, John Partridge and his wife, Karen, of Corinth; grandchildren, Ruth Lindsey Partridge and one expected in April; brother, Ronald Partridge and his wife, Cynthia, of Glenburn; six sisters, Barbara Lindsey of Florida, Gail Dunifer of Bangor, Theresa Gray of Connecticut, Anne Miller and her husband, Terry, of Virginia, Leonardine Strout and her husband, Sheldon Sr., of Hudson, and Patricia Hammill and her husband, Kenneth, of Bangor; many nieces and nephews; and his best friends, Thomas O’Brien and the members of the “Late Edition” band. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife of 36 years, AnnaMae (Halkett) Partridge; a daughter, MaryEllen Elizabeth Partridge, a brother, Leonard Partridge Jr.; a sister, Lorraine Strout; and his mother-in-law, AnneMae Halkett.
A funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 16, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor. Relatives and friends may call from 1 p.m. Saturday until the time of service.
