HOLDEN – Nancy (Dillon) Lambert, 69, passed away peacefully with dignity Jan. 3, 2013, after a courageous battle with lung cancer. She was born June 23, 1943, in Bangor, daughter of Herbert and Ella (Berry) Dillon, living her entire life in the Bangor area.
Nan loved life, and her family and friends were her world. She loved camping, playing cards and being with the people she loved. Nan had a great sense of humor and always had time to help someone in need and will be missed by many.
Nan is survived by her daughter, Debbie Merritt; beloved grandchildren, Shannon Young, Albe LaGasse and Nathan Daigle; stepchildren, Albert “Cuppy” Lambert Jr. and wife, Bridget, and their children, Jared and Jason, Lisa Stratton and husband, Winfield, and their children, Matt and Mallory, Barry Lambert, and Lori Thompson and daughter, Alaina; sister, Susan Foss and husband, Bill; several nieces and nephews. She will be remembered by some very special friends, Gene LaHaye, Mary Lou Gaucher, Brenda Wood, Heather Williams and Tori Tardiff, and many friends too numerous to list. She was predeceased by her parents; beloved son, Stephen Merritt; and husband, the love of her life, Babe Lambert.
Nan requested that no services be held. Those who wish may contribute in her memory to American Cancer Society or to a charity of choice. Arrangements by Kiley & Foley Funeral Service, 69 State St., Brewer.
