Ethelyn G. Nealey

HOULTON – Ethelyn G. Nealey, 93, died Jan. 3, 2013, at a local health care facility. She was born Aug. 3, 1919, in Linneus, daughter of Frank and Flora (Adams) Bither.

Ethelyn was a member of Court Street Baptist Church and True Blue Circle. She was employed for 25 years at White’s Drug Store. She was a life member of Order of the Eastern Star, holding many offices including past matron. She was a member of Houlton Senior Extension, Town & Country Senior Citizens, and RSVP of Aroostook.

Ethelyn is survived by her son, Robert Nealey and wife, Helen, of New Limerick; two daughters, Doris Sullivan Richardson of Zephyrhills, Fla., and Joyce Gordon and husband, Harold, of Orrington; six grandchildren, Lisa Bean, Alan Sullivan, Laurie Yee, Michael Nealey, Brooke Gordon and Shaun Gordon; nine great-grandchildren; one brother, Wayne Bither of Hodgdon; one sister, Wilma Welton of Hodgdon; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Donald Nealey; daughter, Bette Ann Scerra; three brothers, Forrest, Leo and Floyd Bither; and sister, Dorothy Nesbitt.

Friends may call 1 p.m. until the time of the service 2 p.m. Tuesday at Dunn Funeral Home with the Rev. Art Myers officiating. Spring interment will be at Evergreen Cemetery.
