Hope L. Wheaton

DEXTER – Hope L. Wheaton, 42, died unexpectedly Dec. 7, 2012 in Dexter. She was born May 8, 1970, in Dover-Foxcroft, the daughter of Joseph A. and Althea P. (Woodard) Wheaton.
She was a graduate of Dexter High School. For many years Hope was a delivery driver for Taylor Bait Co of Old Town, a job she really enjoyed. Hope was very crafty enjoying woodcrafts, crafts from cloth, anything she could work with to make gifts for her family and friends. She loved to fish with her son, Spencer.
She is survived by her mother, Althea P. Wheaton of Pittsfield; her son and love of her life, Spencer S. Cookson of Dexter; two brothers, Bud Wheaton of Dexter, Warren A. Wheaton of Newport; four sisters, Lori A. Lindley of Bangor, Wanda E. Williams of Benton, Grace M. Braley of Dexter, Vicky E. Haskell of Newport. She is also survived by her extended family, several nieces, nephews and cousins. Hope was predeceased by her father, Joseph; and her brother, Bliss.
A celebration of Hope’s life will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 15, at Dexter Pentecostal Church, Railroad Ave., Dexter, with Rev. Lyman Curtis Sr. officiating.
