AUGUSTA, Maine — An Augusta man was arrested over the weekend i n connection with a pharmacy robbery in the city last week, police said.

Jason Truman, 33, was taken into custody without incident Saturday, according to Deputy Chief Jared Mills of the Augusta Police Department.

Police had gathered multiple leads regarding a pharmacy robbery at Walmart on Civic Center Drive on Nov. 26, according to Mills.

Detectives determined Truman was their suspect, and after interviewing him, he was taken into custody and charged with robbery.

Mills said it doesn’t appear Truman is responsible for two robberies at CVS Pharmacy on Capital Street that occurred within two weeks of each other, the latest one happening Nov. 28. Police have not made any arrests in those cases.

Truman remained at the Kennebec County Jail on Monday.
