FORT FAIRFIELD – Stewart D. Parks, 50, passed away unexpectedly Thursday evening, Nov. 15, 2012, at his residence. He was born June 26, 1962, in Fort Fairfield, the son of Donald R. and Muriel A. (Giggey) Parks.
Stewart was a graduate of Fort Fairfield High School and a communicant of Parish of the Precious Blood, St. Denis Catholic Church, Fort Fairfield.
He was predeceased by his father Donald R. Parks, in 1970; and his mother, Muriel “Molly” A. Burleigh, June 5, 2012. He is survived by four brothers, Robert Parks of Limestone, Frederick Parks and his wife, Myrna, of Plano, Ill., Kent Parks of Portland and Kurt Parks of Fort Fairfield; five sisters, Regina McArthur and her husband, William, of Sarasota, Fla., Penny Olson and her husband, Carl, of Caribou, Lynn Graves and her husband, Robert, of Presque Isle, Donna Parks of Portland and Mona Chapman and her husband, Chris, of San Diego. He also leaves behind his stepfather, Reginald E. Burleigh of Fort Fairfield; one stepbrother, Charles Burleigh and his wife, Faye, of Petoskey, Mich.; one stepsister, Katherine Burleigh and her husband, Louie Huerta, of Santa Monica, Calif.; numerous nieces and nephews.
A private funeral service for the family will be conducted at Giberson-Dorsey Funeral Home, 144 Main St., Fort Fairfield. Interment will take place at St. Denis Catholic Cemetery, Fort Fairfield.
