PATTEN – Carl W. Lord Sr., 91, went to be with our Lord and Savior Nov. 8, 2012, after a long illness. He was born Sept. 20, 1921, in Lincoln, the son of Elmer and Mary (York) Lord.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, serving our country during World War II. While station in Arizona he met and married his first wife, Trini Aros Lord, Gloria’s mother. He was the proud father of 10 beautiful children. During his life Carl worked very hard doing numerous jobs. To name a few he worked in the woods logging, drove truck and also worked for the state. He will be sadly missed by many.
He is survived by his third wife, Bobbie (Kilton) of Island Falls; his children, Gloria Tapia and Ben of Arizona, Dwaine Lord and his wife, Teresa, of Patten, Ruthann Miller and Ron of Connecticut, David Lord of Houlton, Linda Boone and Michael of Crystal, Carol Lord Jr. and Percilla, Patricia Lord, Sherrill Lord and Lee Ann, all of Houlton, Sidney Lord and Debbie of Auburn and Kevin Lord and Cindy of Farmington. Carl was blessed with an abundance of grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is also survived by a stepson, Brian Rudge and Zee and their daughter, all of Patten. He was predeceased by his second wife of many years and the mother of nine of his children, Jeannette K. (Mitchell) Lord; brother, Austin; sisters, Ida and Belle; and a granddaughter, Serena Jo Lord.
