June C. Wright

FORT FAIRFIELD – June C. Wright, 75, beloved wife of Robert P. Wright, passed away Thursday morning, Nov. 1, 2012, in the presence of her loving family at a Caribou health care facility. She was born in Andover, New Brunswick, the daughter of Ralph S. and Candace E. (Kennedy) Flanagan.
June was a graduate of Southern Victoria High School and went on to further her education at Northern Maine Vocational and Technical Institute, Presque Isle, in their nursing program, obtaining her licensed practical nurse certification and also attended the University of Maine at Fort Kent, where she was educated as a respiratory technician graduating in 1976. She was married to Robert P. Wright Jan. 26, 1955, and attended Fort Fairfield Bethel Baptist Church for much of her life. Mrs. Wright had been employed at Fort Fairfield Community General Hospital for many years and also worked in the Fort Fairfield School Department Food Service Program as well as a bookkeeper at Peterson’s Motor Mart, Fort Fairfield. June will be fondly remembered by her family as a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Wright was predeceased by one sister, Helen Baird of St. John, New Brunswick. She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Robert of Fort Fairfield; three sons and daughters-in-law, Brian R. and Susan Wright of Bainbridge, Ga., Roderick P. and Nora Wright of Fredericton, New Brunswick, and Brent L. and Joyce Wright of Perth-Andover, New Brunswick; two daughters and sons-in-law, Cheryl and Galen Cropley of Hermon and Marcia and Thomas Mathieu of Gorham; one sister, Mildred Barker of Perth-Andover, New Brunswick; 13 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be conducted 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 5, at Bethel Baptist Church, corner of Main and Presque Isle streets, Fort Fairfield, with Asa Cook and Marty Thompson co-officiating. Interment will take place after the service at Riverside Cemetery, Fort Fairfield. A time of continued fellowship with refreshments will take place after the interment service at the Bethel Baptist Church reception area. Those who wish may contribute in memory of Mrs. Wright to Bethel Baptist Church Memorial Fund, care of Diane Cook, 839 Limestone Road, Fort Fairfield, ME 04742. Envelopes will be available at service. Arrangements have been entrusted to Giberson-Dorsey Funeral Home, 144 Main St., Fort Fairfield.
