RANDOLPH, MASS., and PRESQUE ISLE – Daniel Linwood Hedrich, formerly of Presque Isle, a loving son and brother, peacefully passed Oct. 20, 2012, at his home in Randolph, Mass. Daniel was born July 24, 1991, in Bangor.
Dan was so excited about his new outlook on life and the great promise he saw, when his life was suddenly taken. He had just placed his faith and trust back in the Lord, and had an excitement and enthusiasm for recreating his life. It was his faith in Christ that gave Dan the answers he had struggled to find in so many other things. Those closest to Dan will tell you that when he placed his faith back in his Savior, he found the peace he was searching for. In his short 21 years of life, Dan had touched the lives of all he came in contact with. Dan wanted to help everyone in any way that he could and would never turn down an opportunity to spend time with people that he loved. He enjoyed playing golf, hunting, fishing, shooting archery with his dad, camping in the Maine woods, cooking and spending time with family. Dan also loved animals and had just adopted an adorable little hedgehog. Dan attended school in Presque Isle and attended the University of Maine at Presque Isle and Northern Maine Community College. He worked this summer for Plant Essentials for Lowe’s, Quincy, Mass.
He is survived by his parents, Joe Hedrich III and Lynne Raymond; his brother, Uriah; his grandmothers, Delores Raymond and Sandra Hedrich; and his grandfather, Joe Hedrich II. Dan is also survived by his young son, Jace; and by several uncles, aunts and cousins.
Private services will be held. Interment will be at Southside Cemetery, Mapleton. Those who wish may contribute to Teen Challenge, a Christian residential drug recovery program, 11 Newcomb St., Boston, MA 02118. Memories and condolences may be expressed at www.duncan-graves.com.
