Maxine L. (Clark) Moore

HERMON – Maxine L. (Clark) Moore, 92, died Oct. 15, 2012 at a local healthcare center in the arms of her beloved granddaughter, Tina-Marie Urquhart. She was born Aug. 29, 1920, on the family farm in Merrill, the daughter of Warren and Faustina (Tarbell) Clark.

Maxine grew up in Merrill and in 1937, married Alton Moore. They lived in Hermon and were married for 55 years. She enjoyed spending time with Alton and her family at their cabin by the lake in Aroostook County.

She is survived by her daughter, Susan Magruder of Lentner, Mo.; daughter-in-law, Susan (Knowles) Moore of Hermon; grandchildren, Tina-Marie Urquhart and husband, Kent, of Carmel, Timothy Moore and his wife, Stacia, of Hermon, Terri Theil and her husband, Troy, of Hartsburg, Mo., Tammi Schreiber and her husband, Karl, of Columbia, Mo., Lisa Fairley of Philadelphia, Mo., Melanie Dobbins and her husband, Tony, of Hartsburg, Mo., Tracy Hall and her husband, Walter, of Hermon, Aimee Magruder of Shelbina, Mo., Aaron Magruder and his wife, Kristen, of Lentner, Mo., and Jennifer Magruder of Lentner, Mo.; 22 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Alton; her son, Merwin; son-in-law, Richard Magruder; grandson, Alton H. Moore; seven sisters, Nellie Stevens, Vivian Friel, Ruby Turner, Phyllis Sewell, Mertie McGary, Doris Warman, Ivy Hughes; and by one brother, Leo Clark.

A service honoring Maxine’s life will be held 1 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 18, at Kiley & Foley Funeral Service, 299 Union St., Bangor, where family and friends may visit from noon until the service begins. The Rev. Garnett Chute, pastor of Hermon Baptist Church will preside. Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery, Diesel Shop Road, Hermon.
