EAST MILLINOCKET, Maine — Republican challenger Kevin Raye urged U.S. Rep. Mike Michaud on Friday to pull an “attack ad” that Raye’s campaign claims is false, misleading and “smacks of hypocrisy and cynical political opportunism.”
The advertisement is “a misleading and hypocritical attack, complete with fake photos, [and] is proof positive that the congressman’s campaign is feeling a sense of desperation because they are aware that Congressman Michaud is now in a tight race with Kevin Raye,” a Raye campaign statement released Friday states. “Congressman Michaud would not have resorted to fake photos and misleading attacks if he truly believed that Kevin Raye is far behind in what the Democrat state party chairman just days ago boldly proclaimed as ‘the race that never was.’”
The Michaud campaign stands by its advertisement, though the pictures were stock photos, campaign spokesman Dan Cashman said.
“The fact is that Kevin Raye spent more than $20,000 in taxpayers’ money for his office and the Senate Republican lounge [at the State House] that aren’t necessary to do the job of the people,” Cashman said Friday.
The 31-second television spot, which began running Friday, “is a humorous, honest and homespun look at the fact that Kevin Raye used more than $20,000 in taxpayer dollars to install a private kitchen in his office in Augusta, and a lounge solely for the use of Republican State Senators and Republican majority staff,” Cashman said in a statement Friday.
“Our opponent has been running a ‘humorous’ ad for a week now and we did not want to go any longer without replying with a ‘humorous’ ad of our own,” Cashman said.
But Raye’s campaign responded that the pictures of the kitchen and lounge were stock photos, not pictures of anything at the State House. The “kitchen” in the Senate president’s office is actually a reception area with a 14-by-10-inch sink with a dorm-size refrigerator, Raye’s campaign states.
The Senate Republicans’ “lounge” is actually a conference room with a table, chairs and some workstations, and was not redecorated as the advertisement claims, the campaign says.
Raye’s campaign called it ironic “that Congressman Michaud is attacking Kevin Raye on the issue of spending given that Kevin reduced spending on the Senate President’s staff budget by 22 percent and, as chairman of the Legislative Council, teamed up with Speaker Bob Nutting to reduce overall spending in the Legislature by over $9 million — more than a 16 percent reduction in the $55.8 million legislative budget.”
The Michaud campaign has invoices for the State House work that show expenditures totaling more than $20,000, Cashman said.
“It is not about the pictures. It is about the cost. That is what matters to the taxpayers of Maine. That is how their money is being spent ― or misused,” Cashman said.
The advertisement is Michaud’s third to hit the airwaves in this race. It will run for the next several days, Cashman said.

Anyone really think Raye will receive the same kind of media response (and protection) like Angus King did when he whined and stomped his little feet about those US Chamber ads?
No TV station pulled the anti-King ads.
Oh, poor Mr Mustard can’t take the heat.
Buh-bye Kevin.
Yes, bye bye, Mr. I-rode-Olympia’s-coat-tails.
Perhaps Mr. Raye should loosen his corset before he is overcome by the vapors.
It’s not a negative add if it is the truth. Kevin Raye can’t handle the truth.
The problem is Michaud forgot the TRUTH in his negative ad.
What was not true in the ad?
Please list the lies. What a surprise, not response, Cricket, Cricket…….
Why not post photos that are REAL to start!
Because only Republicans are allowed into the partisan Republican only chambers maybe?
The Republican “lounge” is a workspace/conference room approved by the Legislative Council, not Kevin Raye. The “kitchen” did not cost $20,000.
There you go.
Wow. You are saying the invoices from Raye’s office saying the $$ was spent on a kitchen are a coverup for something?
I am saying your buddy Michaud is stretching the truth. Maybe Michaud should produce the invoices he “claims” adds up to $20,000.
Raye has access to all of his own office’s invoices and could supply them just as easily and he has the motivation to do so … unless of course Michaud is correct.
Raye could have stopped the faucet of dollars being wasted but instead he allowed the tax payer money to flow. He is responsible. There you go. :}
Has Michaud done anything, really, for Maine?
If you are a vet and live up here in The County, you bet. The VA thought of Northern Maine as a Homer Podunk part of the Country and wrote us off years ago. Michaud grabbed the VA by the ‘jewel box’ and got the VA to open clinic’s up here to look out for the vet’s comng back. He got a lot of newer technology paid attention to and got it funded until it was running on it’s own. He’s behind a lot of the composite laminates work that the UM has been working on for the windmill blade’s, whether you like those or not. No, Michaud has done a lot for Maine. Raye, on the other hand, has done just about zippo. He’s fought the Budget Reconcilliation last year’, claiming doom and gloom and Holy Armmagedon if it passed, UNTIL the majority of the State Senate finally had enough of LePage’s ego and collectively put their foot down and voted it in, with Raye conveiniently and silently going along with the majority, in the face of Lepage’s threat of a veto. The State Senate, for the 1st time in a long time, came together and passed the Budget, in effect telling LePage and his TP Bunch that the State’s voter’s had enough. Raye, wisely reading the political wind, stayed silent and let the Silent Majority do his work for him. If stepping back from political controversy is a sign of leadership then we are all in big trouble. Leadership isin’t staying silent in the face of controversy. It’s getting involved, objectively, and working toward a solution, not staying silent and letting nature run wild, and the political system being left open to abuse and manipulation. That’s political cowardice under the guise of representation. Illinois has that with that nut Joe Walsh. Need anyone look more ?
The money he spent is not really going to good use. I use the VA health system. The doctors in the clinics don’t do much more for me than reorder my meds and that’s only when I see them. If you need a bandaid they send you to Togus in 5 or 6 months to see a specialist. I can find Togus on my own without this extra step. Now that these clinics are built , they need to be evaluated for efficiency !
And that’s what Michaud’s local office is for, to hear about these problem’s. I tried to get Susie Collins help one time and all I got was an office staffer who just sat, took notes and drank coffee. Past that her staff did zippo. Regardless of who wins, the Congressman and Senator’s need to get back here and throttle some of these local staffer’s who seem to think they are on the payroll as a freebie instead of being required to actually doing something. I am I being nice ? Heck no but nice is not the issue. It’s the people who are looking to their Senator’s and Congressmen for help and answers that is the issue. And it’s their collective responsibility to make sure that their local office’s are responsive to the people that call on them, one way or the other. A person calling and looking for help or answers is at the very least deserved to have an answer, one way or the other, provided to them. That’s what constituent service is about. It’s called getting your constituent’s answers, regardless fo what the answer is, since it’s the Senator’s or Congressmen’s responsibility to be responsive to their constituent’s.
Not beating up on any one specific of Maine’s DC delegation, it’s high time that the Maine 4 got their people together and had a little ‘quality time’ with them and reminded them all that they are here to work, not come in, drink coffee all day and blow the public off as some kind of inconveinience while collecting a paycheck. Mainer’s need help, as pourmeonemore has clearly stated. Mybe it’s time that the Maine 4 started concentrating on home 1st and let DC wait for a while. From what has been seen so far, DC is in no rush. And it’s not going to be for a while given the state of affairs it has going on right now…………..
Wow Mike Kiernan, With inside facts like these you should be a State House Reporter. The only problem is you would have to work for The Onion.
The idea of a man (Raye) who worked to get bi-partisan support for every major reform in the last two years running against your buddy Mike who votes party line 93% of the time since he took office must be very scary. I guess I would make up facts as well if I were you. With the hatchet job the Michaud campaign did with this ad I think they agree.
Raye has just been one of LePage’s Parots and passed a lot of bills designed to directly hurt the working poor in Maine. He deserves everything Michaud can throw at him. The majority of Mainers lost a lot in the last 2 years and this man and his party are directly responsible. There is no future in rewarding bad behavior.
Raye worked for Bi-Partisan support only when he had no other choice. He was one of the leading opponent’s of the Budget Reconcilliation last year, UNTIL, the open polls were done and the Statehouse, in almost universal anger and frustration, told Paulie and his crony’s (including Raye) that the Budget was gonna be passed even if Paulie tried to veto it. In short Paulie and Raye talked a lot of trash to the voter’s last year about the State’s Budget, threatened to hold it and put Maine’s finance’s OVER the fiscal cliff, and then dared anyone to step across the line. Boy, were Paulie and Kevin surprised, and politically smacked right in the teeth, when even the House and Senate GOP moderate’s finally saw thru the menusha that these 2 had piled up and voted, by over 3/4th of a majority, to pass the Budget Reconcilliation. Did anyone hear Raye crying then ? NO and guess why ? He started making sounds and all he was going to do was to raise his profile and his opposition to the Budget all that much more. Regretabbly Maine voter’s don’t really remember last years Budget fight. Too bad as it gives them a real good look at just where, and who, Raye takes his political orders from. And that is why, like him or not, King is probably gonna win. He doesn’t owe anyone.
Mike Kiernan – Again this is a wonderful fabrication on your part. If that was really true I am sure we would have heard it from leading Democrats, but you don’t. In fact both Sen. Hobbins and Sen. Alfond, the Democrat leaders of the Senate, have been quoted in the paper about the bi-partisan culture Kevin instilled in the Maine Senate.
Seriously you should call The Onion. I think you could get paid for this!
“His (Michaud) great achievement is to remain completely blameless for anything and everything, while claiming credit for every cent the Veteran’s Administration spends in the Second District. It works like this; the VA is the second largest department in the federal government with over 300,000 employees and a budget of over $119 billion.
Maine’s second district has the densest concentration of vets of any congressional district in the country. Money will flow into it from the VA regardless of who represents it in Congress. All Mike has to do is show up at every ribbon-cutting to claim credit. This is routine for all politicians. The editorial boards who will inevitably endorse Mike (after all he’s a Democrat, like them) won’t have a clue about what role, if any, he played in designing the VA programs that benefit the state, but will give him full credit.”
John Frary says is quite well..
Have I missed the BDN article that evaluates Mike Michaud’s voting record for the last 1, 2 … 6 years and how he voted with or against his ruling democratic leader Nancy Pelosi ?
I’m quite sure that if Michaud was a republican during the Bush years that his voting record with the administration would be printed many times !
Michaud & Obama – support and pass laws they haven’t read (or understood).
Mike Michaud is to the right of most Democrats in Congress and his voting record reflects that. In fact the far left attacks Michaud for being part of the centrist “Blue Dog” caucus because he is more likely to vote against Pelosi’s positions than most Democrats.
.
Michaud’s record as a moderate is actually not significantly different from several Republican Congressmen Kirk (R-IL), Wicker (R-MS), Amash (R-MI) and Turner (R-NY)
OK –
So where’s all the BDN articles and editorials about his “CONSERVATIVE” voting record ?
And how Michaud likes to say he’s pro-life but votes with the pro-choice folks?
Michaud CLAIMS to be to the RIGHT, his voting record is to the LEFT. Take the Small Business rankings. Michaud got a zero. Yet 1/3 of his Blue Dog colleagues got the Guardian Award from NFIB, and Michaud was only one of 2 Blue Dogs to earn a zero. Michaud is not a moderate.
yes, he shut the millinocket mill down, i still remember the speech, how one man can make a difference.
Huh? Mike Michaud personally sent Maine lumber business overseas even though he doesn’t own even a penny of interest in them?
How Absurd!
“Personally” —-Sent a Lumber Mill Overseas even though he had No Vested Interest in it?
What did he do?
Load it on the Ship With His Fork Truck????
LOL
Michaud is a typical politician who can’t tell the truth. He supports the Democratic machine of spend, spend, spend. It’s just too bad he is so unimpressive to anyone in Washington that he can’t at least get them to spend more on Maine.
The trouble with all Democrats is sooner or later they run out of OTHER people’s money!
I wouldn’t have seen this ad if not for the article about Mr. Raye complaining about it.
Smooth move, Raye campaign managers.
Michaud on the attack? I guess the polls in the media must be wrong. If Michaud was up by 20 points he wouldn’t be attacking. Keep it up Kevin, we need you in DC!
Right! So he can stick with Romney and promise tax cuts, reduced deficits, more jobs, no cuts in SS, medicaid, no changes in tax breaks for the rich or middle class and increased defense spending.
What a crock and republicans actually believe it?
No we don’t. He needs to stay home in Eastport.
Kitchen, seriously. Its a small sink that is installed on the opposite side of the bathroom sink. It has a small counter. It sits behind the secretary’s desk. The end. Still trying to picture what kind of car costs $800 a month. For most people that’s a mortgage or rent payment. Is there a bathroom or kitchen in that car?
So you’re defending the use of $20,000 for a “sink”?
There is no way that sink cost $20,000. The Michaud Campaign needs to release the documents they have, but I bet they won’t because they know they are lying. This attack for a little sink comes from a man who when he was in the legislature sponsored a bill to bond a $54 MILLION restoration project at the State House. The catch is they knew the voters wouldn’t approve the bond so Michaud put in a bill to pass it without voter approval.
By the time this is over I bet the Michaud campaign is going to wish they never brought this issue up. Raye = Budget Savings of over $9 Million, 20+% cut to his office budget. Michaud = $54 Million Bond and $800/month taxpayer car.
If the “sink” and the invoices tell a story different from the ad why hasn’t Raye released photos and copies of the invoices? Is he hiding something?
Tyke – Here are your photos. http://myemail.constantcontact.com/Michaud-Raye-Race-Tightening-.html?soid=1109866012546&aid=hQk8bItCkpc
So a small sink and small counter cost $20,000?
Really…where did the extra $ go then? Maybe that’s the real issue!!!
Exactly. Those whining about a truthful ad depicting the amounts on an invoice from Raye’s own office may want to quiet down. Either the invoice is correct and the ad is correct or Raye’s office invoiced in a manner to hide or cover something up.
oops
Or Michaud is lying. I love how you are so SURE that Raye is at fault here. Until either side shows the invoices we don’t know. It is just a likely that your guy (Michaud) is lying about the amount. But I am sure he wouldn’t do that…Right?
Read the article! The $20K included a conference room (with conference table etc.) and meeting room/lounge that is used by all Republican representatives!
That’s still $44,000 cheaper then a mural.
4
If so that would be the easiest possibly thing to prove by just publishing the photos and the invoices. Unless Raye produces these ASAP it will be clear he’s hiding something.
.
Folks really should stop pretending that you think leases cost the same in one of the highest crime and accident rate cities in the country as compared to leases in Maine. That position just makes you look foolish. Michaud’s lease isn’t anywhere near the highest one for congressmen. It’s not even in the same ballpark.
Go Michaud Go! No more nasty Republicans in Washington or Maine for that matter! Mr. Raye can’t handle the same crap that his cohorts are dishing out on a daily basis…Democrats lie? Look closely at Maine’s Republicans… they all have these bipartisan(choke) research groups to support all of their amazing accomplishments ..like the Maine Heritage Foundation Center. You’re not fooling me one bit. Mainers are smarter then this.. Vote NO to the Tea Party Republicans! I am…
“You’re not fooling me one bit. Mainers are smarter then this.. ”
I read your post and I would tend to disagree on this. As far as nasty republicans, they don’t come close to the nastiness on the left.
I know, they are way ahead of the left as far as nastiness goes…
Wait til you see the nastiness of the left when they lose the White House on Nov. 6. The true side of the Dems was witnessed at the VP debate with Joe leading the charge.
Keep dreaming. Biden was awesome – ran circles around little Eddie Munster. Ryan is completely out of his league!
LOL – u smoking dope?
Nope on the dope – just high on life man. We have clear choice in November – can’t wait!
they might be ropin’ a dope…
Biden looked like he was – what a fruitcake.
True. And if gulping water every two seconds is a body language indication of lying, then Joe had Ryan showing his true colors.
You can tell which person lost the debate by the way the loser’s attack the moderator and the opponant.
Actually you can tell by the polls of undecided voters … Biden won easily.
Don’t hold your breath…or letmetrythisagain…please DO hold your breath. The fewer toxic teapartiers we have in this land, the better.
Yup That was nasty of Joe to call Luin ryan out on his hypogracy. Ryan couldn’t even have his goons throw him out for embarrassing him.
So Raye has an ad out there that talks about Michaud’s record. He drives a taxpayer leased car for $800/month, votes against Maine small businesses, voted for Obamacare. And this is the best Michaud can do to respond? Looks like the Michaud campaign is in deep trouble.
VERY well said! This clearly, concisely describes this situation!
Only if you call Michaud leading by about 20% “being in trouble”.
lol
The Republicans can dish it out in the ads, but they cry, cry, cry when they get it back…Poor Kevin..
Do Democrats ever get tired of lying?
What lie is that? The invoices show the money was spent exactly as they said.
.
If Raye is so bad at handling our money that all he got for $20,000 was a dorm refrigerator and a really small sink then Michaud did him a favor by implying he got a better deal for our investment.
.
Or are you suggesting Raye did something else with the money and is covering up with a fake invoice?
Edited to correct a typo to prevent overwhelming cases the vapors by silly people.
Maybe you should read the article again it said $20,000 not $200,000 that is how the Spin starts.
OH NO!!! A TYPO!
The first one EVER in these comments!!!!!!!
btw: Did you mean to stick a random non standard capitalization in the middle of a sentence, or was that a TYPO?
Favorite quote of the day:
“…blue states pay, on average, so much more in federal taxes than they receive; that the red states have the highest percentage of folks taking federal dollars out of the system even as they whine and swagger about being “small government” advocates; the casual and clueless, almost daily, exhibitions of racism common in the South; the glorification of traitors known as the worship of the “lost cause” of the Confederacy.”
{Kevin Raye}
“Thats not the Real Photos”!
‘And WE can Prove it”!
‘We Put a Jacuzzi and a Bar in the Real Lounge”!!!
LOL
Raye is getting desperate. Can’t cut the mustard.
If Raye can’t stand the heat he needs to get out of the kitchen – the $20,000 kitchen and lounge we built for him.
I’m sick of all this Nastiness over Politics!! just last night someone came into my yard and riped up my Michaud yard sign and kicked over my donkey flower pot! Someone is Driving all over Hancock County in a pick-up truck running over Obama ,Michaud and King yard signs!!! …Now Kevin Raye can say anything Nasty he wants about our Congressman, but Mike can’t say a thing about Kevin without him crying!! Lie about the leased black car Congressman Michaud uses to drive over 300 miles a day so he can do his job and for the people of Maine better in the largest District East of the Mississippi!! Congressman Michaud never uses that black car for his personal driving he drives his old white car for that!! PS, Keep out of my Yard-My dog will BIte!!!
Mr. Michaud can drive 300 miles a day in a leased bailed out Chrysler product for $200. a month. Excluding tax and title !
So why is he currently driving a taxpayer funded $800/month Ford Escape? Seems a bit pricey indeed. Not sure why Mike Michaud enjoys the support that he has when he is exactly what is wrong in D.C. I guess it’s the old adage, it’s not our congressman who is the problem it’s yours. Mikey is the teflon man around these parts. He says it so it must be true. The “guy” (another questionable description…) is sickening. More sickening are the people who support him w/out truly understanding his record & hypocrisy. Give someone else a chance. If the next guy doesn’t get it done, choose someone else. Sooner or later they may get the message, but only if the voters are actually smarter than they currently appear.
The lease terms are set by House rules and has to include insurance and other factors that are very expensive in Washington D.C.
.
All Representative’s leases are about the same. Got a problem with the terms and cost? You should take it up with the Republican House majority writing the rules.
Tyke – You are right the lease is allowed by the House rules. However, only 80+ members take advantage of the program. That means that well over 300 members don’t. Michaud should stop taking advantage of a perk and do what is right.
The leases are part of the overall office budget for any House member. Michaud saves on other things and spends more than some (not all – nowhere near all) on this one item, but overall he spends less than average.
If partisan attack dogs are going to WHINE incessantly about high spending in this one area then they should praise loudly for savings on other budget lines … unless they are hypocrites of course.
Rules, fine. $800/month for a Ford Escape? Even if he’s driving the Titanium model, he’s easily spending $500 more a month than necessary under their leasing program. Throw in another $100 – $200/mo for whatever, to say the least it is still hypocritical even if an arms length transaction & expenditure. To say the most, what kind of lease did he sign w/the Lee family (auto dealers) who’ve been among his largest contributors over the years?
More sickening are the people who support him w/out truly understanding his record & hypocrisy. “”Why? Because he hasn’t kicked the working man while he was down and out like Raye?
“The working man” as you put it is being stiffed by all of them. What’s worse is that “the working man” has bought in to this “guy’s” press releases instead of truly looking @ his record & questioning what he’s done. “The working man” I know are too busy working & taking care of their families (of course Mike doesn’t have a nuclear family… why is that ?) Have a feeling that “the working man” would find his record, D.C. affiliation (really, 25 nights in Maine last year?,) & questionable lifestyle to be the opposite of “the working man.”
How about what Raye, the LePage Parrot voting for tearing apart the unemployment rules or putting health insurance out of the reach of working people! Let’s not forget what he helped to do to Workmen’s Comp and the workers at Decoster. I know where his heart is and it isn’t with people who work hourly! Maybe his rich friends will vote for him, but for me it’s payback time for all he’s done.
These teapartiers reveal more and more of themselves with each day. Does anyone with a functioning brain want irrational, dangerous, unstable leaders like that in Augusta or Washington?
So the “Chamber of Republicans” can have all of the attack adds they want against King, Michaud, Obama etc but any negativism by any democratic candidate in retaliation isn’t allowed?
Conservatives can do nothing but whine, what a bunch of babies…..
I agree, Republicans would never do that type of ad…… WAIT that’s all they do. Hey Kev please read your party’s platform, then go back to sleep.
this ad cost more then $20k to create and air.
did someone have to add up the numbers for mike? he hasnt attended many mensa meetings lately.
The ad cost $0 taxpayer dollars. Zero. As in not one cent.
Don’t try subscribing to MENSA yourself fella.
If the other side was “squeaky clean’ in their ads then he’d have a point. If he can’t cut it, then don’t run.
Raye should not complain about a factual ad against him when he has an ad that is not factual against Representative Michaud. As for the reduction in the legislative budget, that was a budgetary reduction required and implemented by the Appropriations Committee and the Legislature.
Actually the legislative budget starts with the “Legislative Council” first. Appropriations approves what the Council sends to them. Raye is the Chair of the Legislative Council, so he can take all the credit he wants on the $9 Million savings.
You are correct that it does originate with the Legislative Council as budgets originate with the Governor or independent agencies. However, each of those budgets are reviewed by the Appropriations Committee and changed which then requires the Legislature as a whole to vote. If I remember right, the Appropriations Committee require more of a reduction than what was originally presented to the committee.
That would not be correct. When the Appropriations Committee needed additional money to balance another budget (keep in mind there was 5 bi-partisan budgets in the last legislature) the Legislative Council under Raye and Nutting offered up additional savings. They were not asked to. They demonstrated leadership.
You call it offering up, and I call it being requested behind closed doors.
well, if you were behind the closed doors then I guess you would know.
The council did the same thing under Libby Mitchel a couple of times. You singing her praises too?
If she did, good for her. How much did she save? $9 Million like Raye and Nutting… Doubtful.
Where are the copies of the invoices? You can have all the pictures you want from any home decorating magazine let us see the invoices and the actual photos of the supposed upgrades. The news and the candidates do not seem to support their positions with the real facts. If i am not wrong with todays technology all of these items could have been put into any video and or news print then we would all know the truth. I think this calls for a follow up article to clarify the facts.
A simple solution:
1) Take some photos of the real kitchen (or whatever it is) and put that on a TV commercial, then show the luxurious stock photo again.2) Have people go a web link for a comprehensive record of each candidate’s votes.
As the good book says, the truth shall set you free.
So let me get this straight, Kevin Raye cuts his office budget over $80,000, and cuts the legislature’s budget $9 million, while Michaud spends $800/month leasing a car from a campaign contributor, and spends more money on his own budget. How is Kevin Raye misusing tax payer dollars?
Mr. Raye seems to be a bit disingenuous complaining about attack ads consider the number of attack ads he and his supporters have launched at Michaud. The difference is that Michaud’s ads pointing out Raye’s excesses at the state level are grounded in FACTS while the Raye attack ads of Michaud take facts and turn and spin them into disinformation in order to “scare” his uninformed base. The TeaPublican whining about the so-called Angus King attack ad on Summers (King merely STATES FACTS), in which the TeaPublican complaint is not about what is said in the ad-they admit it’s all true-but rather the fact that King is saying it, and they are claiming it’s an attack ad which King promised to avoid. Considering that King has, so far, only had this one ad, perceived as an attack only by the righties, DESPITE the barrage of attack ads from his TeaPublican opponents says EVEN MORE about King’s character. Back to the point-Michaud leads Raye by at least 20 points. How Raye’s campaign can hope to pass this ad off as an “act of desparation” escapes me. Just like Paul Ryan during the debate claiming that it is an act of desparation to “attack” your opponent while he was standing there ATTACKING Biden. Guess he made his case.
Attack ads against Michaud? I have seen Raye’s ad that points out Michaud’s record but I haven’t seen any others. Can you specify?
There’s the one with a couple of elderly ladies repeating a thoroughly debunked lie about cuts to Medicare for one.
your “facts” are a lot like joe biden’s teeth, bright and shiny but false and we see too much of them.
Amen! VERY good!
One candidates “facts” are another’s propaganda or another’s obfuscation – as in your post!
Wow! just like a bully on the school yard, he puts out the nasty-talk about the other kids..But as soon as they fight back and give him a taste of his own medicine, little Kevin goes home crying to mommy!!!
I just watched both ads and I don’t see any difference between teh two., WHy does Raye think his is ok but not Michaud’s?
I know, It is called hypocracy.
Here’s an idea; how about ALL of the candidates on BOTH sides pull ALL of their ads? I’m fairly certain I’m not the only one that’s sick to death of seeing this stuff during every commercial break on every channel.
Mike is getting scared.. Mike always thought if he put a little butter on the burnt toast nobody would realize it was burnt toast he was trying to sell them.. People realize your in it for yourself.
Here’s a great idea for Michaud. Have a bunch of veterans look at the camera and say, “Thanks, Mike.” Oh, wait…he’s run it for years. There is nobody in this country who wouldn’t bend over backward for our veterans. Sadly, that’s all Michaud has going for himself. He hasn’t done a single thing in Washington. Thanks, Mike…
So you think giving full support to Veterans = not doing a single thing.
What an ugly and despicable total disdain and disrespect of our Veterans!
That is not what they are saying. What they are trying to say is other members of Congress work just as hard for Veterans, but they do not run their entire campaign on it. Why? Because they have other accomplishments. Michaud has none of these. He can only talk about Veterans. You don’t see Mike talking about his other legislative accomplishments because he sits on the backbench and punishes the pay clock. Where are his small business accomplishments? What about his efforts to work across the aisle to make a bill better… Nothing.
If it were any more basic it would it would be a ZUMBA studio.
Screw the ads. If citizens haven’t figured out where this country is headed if we don’t change course, NOW, then it is hopeless for all. Wake up America!
Republicans invented attack ads and are masters of dirty tricks.
Li’l Kevin needs to man up and shut up.
Yessah
$20 K in expenditures that only Republicans can use. What is it a gold sink? Guess Raye wasn’t frugal with taxpayers money after all.
Do you know how much Michaud’s leased $800/per month vehicle has cost us all?
Kevin Gaye needs to settle down and vote yes on 1.
Dang it Mike, stop acting like a republican with any trick in the book ads. I’m starting to think you look like one!
does anyone else remember the attack ads run against libby mitchell for the money spent replacing the rostrum in the house while she was speaker? ooooooof course not.
Thats not the real Photos!
And WE can Prove it!
We Put a Jacuzzi and a Bar in the Real Lounge!!!
LOL
there has never been any decorum in political races. it’s blood and guts, winner take all.
Raye is completely unfamiliar with the truth. Just review some of his comments and speeches. Anyone would be better than that lying SOB.
