BUCKSPORT – Lois A. Birmingham, 67, went home to be with the Lord, Monday, Oct. 8, 2012. She was born Jan. 13, 1945, in Montville, daughter of George and Elizabeth (Foss) McClain.
Lois’s family was very important to her; she enjoyed using the computer and the friends she made on line. She also enjoyed yard sales, flea markets, eating out and rides in the car.
She will be sadly missed by her loving husband of 50 years, Donnis “Don” C. Birmingham; three sons, Keith Birmingham and wife, Suzanne, of Orland, Gary Birmingham and wife, Rhonda, of Enfield, and Dale Birmingham and girlfriend, Niki Beaulieu, of Bucksport; seven grandchildren, Jason of South Carolina, Cassie of Enfield, Carl of Old Town, Michelle, Natalie, David and Faith, all of Bucksport; six great-grandchildren, as well as a special friend, Doris Carpenter, along with several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Lois was predeceased by one brother, Russell Foss.
A funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 11, at Franklin Street United Methodist Church with Pastor Peter Remick officiating. Burial will be after the service at Riverview Cemetery, River Road, Bucksport. Arrangements are under the direction of Mitchell-Tweedie Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 28 Elm St., Bucksport.
