BANGOR – Kay A. Greenleaf, 64, passed away unexpectedly Oct. 3, 2012, at home. Kay was born Aug. 14, 1948, in Lincoln.
She graduated from Penobscot Valley High School and continued on at Faith School of Theology. Kay worked for Sam’s Club for several years. She enjoyed gospel music, spending time with family and friends, and especially her grandchildren. She loved to laugh.
Kay is survived by her daughter, Michele Stinson and her husband, Roger; two grandsons, William and Justyn Stinson; a brother, Paul Hatch and his wife, Pamela; a sister, Patricia Merrill; several nieces and nephews including, Beverlee Groff, Annette Kinney, Jamie Merrill, Paula Hatch, Victoria Hatch, Lynn Sension, Erik Hatch, Avern Mike Burnell, Shaun Hatch, Matthew Hatch and Michelle Hatch; two very special friends, Kathy Maher and Mel Ellis; and many other special family and friends. Kay was predeceased by her parents, Perley and Elva Hatch; a brother, Avern Hatch; and a son, Christopher Adams. The family of Kay Greenleaf wishes to thank Kathy Maher and Mel Ellis.
The funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 10, at Community Evangel Temple, Lincoln. The Rev. Timothy Shaw will be officiating. Visitation will be held 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 9, at Clay Funeral Home, Lincoln. Burial will be at Lincoln Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to the family or the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Clay Funeral Home.
