Clarence B. Eaton

WATERBURY, Conn. – Clarence B. Eaton, 76, beloved husband of Betty (Ambrose) Eaton went home to the Lord Sunday, Sept. 16, 2012, at Yale New Haven Hospital. Born Feb. 19, 1936, in Deer Isle, he was the son of the late William and Carrie (Richards) Eaton.

He was a retired employee of Superior Steel, Cheshire, Conn., and had worked as a flag car driver of oversized loads for more than 12 years. He attended New Life Christian Church, Waterbury, Conn., for several years and also volunteered at Christian Fellowship Center, Bristol, Conn.

In addition to his wife of 35 years, he is survived by a son, David and his wife, Julia Eaton, of Concord, Calif.; a brother, Thomas W. and his wife, Kristi Eaton, of Martinsburg, W.Va.; a sister, Harriet Leighton of Deer Isle; three grandsons, Christopher, Michael and his wife, Christie, and Matthew and his wife, Krista Eaton; and seven grandchildren, Crystal, Kimberly, Jessica, Michael Jr., James, Deanna and Jeannette Eaton.

Funeral services and calling hours were held in Wolcott, Conn. Burial will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 25, at Greenwood Cemetery, Stonington.
