ST. AGATHA – Joseph Don Morin, 80, died unexpectedly Sept. 13, 2012, at his residence. He was born Sept. 26, 1931, in Madawaska, the son of Charles and Melvina (Clavette) Morin.
Don served in the U.S. Air Force and retired from Madawaska school department as a cook. He was a member of American Legion Post No. 147, Madawaska.
He is survived by his wife of 57 1/2 years, Dorina; one son, David and his wife, Debbie, of Mineral Wells, Texas; daughters, Donna and her husband, Daniel Deschaine, of Madawaska and Diana and her husband, Peter Di Mauro, of Winsted, Conn.; one daughter-in-law, Charlene Fournier of Fort Kent; seven grandchildren, Rebecca and partner, Allison, Tracy, Carla and fiance, Darren, Justin and Tracy, Bruce, Jessica and Michael, and Ashley; four great-grandchildren, Abigail, Emily, Haddie and Nolan; one brother, Ronaldo of Madawaska; and two sisters, Mary June and Patricia. He was predeceased by his parents; one son, Donald “Pete”; several brothers and sisters.
Friends and relatives may call 6-8 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 16, and 8:30 a.m. until the time of service Monday, Sept. 17, at Michaud Funeral Home, St. Agatha. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Monday at St. Agatha Catholic Church with the Rev. Phil Cyr officiating. Burial will be at St. Thomas Cemetery, Madawaska.
