Richard ‘Dick’ Harris

CARIBOU – Richard “Dick” Harris, 73, died unexpectedly Sept. 6, 2012, at his residence. He was born July 5, 1939, in Caswell, the son of the late Guy and Ella (Cote) Harris.

Dick was a well-known area contractor in Aroostook County, having owned and operated R.F. Harris and Son Construction Co. for many years. Dick was a very proud man, especially of his wife, children and grandchildren and their accomplishments, as well as the accomplishments and many area projects and buildings that he was a part of.

He is survived by his wife, Pauline (Damboise) Harris of Caribou; his children, Karen Harris Voye and her husband, John, of Bangor, Richard “Richie” Harris Jr. and his partner, Amanda Cloney, and Kay Harris Butler and her husband, Curtis, all of Caribou; two brothers, Robert Harris of Indiana and James Harris of Caribou; three sisters, Lillian Doody of Woodland, Marion King of Florida and Shirley Bokun of Connecticut; eight grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Mr. Harris was predeceased by a sister, Connie Hardacker.
