PATTEN – Leo George Dickinson, 81, died Aug. 28, 2012. Leo was born April 27, 1931, in Island Falls, son of Frank and Nellie Dickinson.

Leo proudly served in the Navy aboard the USS Bannock, rescue tug and loved telling his military tales. Family was his main concern, which was always evident by his enthusiasm for the yearly family picnic and he was very proud of every family member. Leo had a knack for putting a smile on people’s faces with his quick humor, which helped to make friends easily. In his later years Leo developed a dear family at Meadowbrook Manor and they were a big part of his life. He loved to hunt and fish and enjoyed picking berries. He spent his last days at home with his loved ones caring for him, often talking about the day he would reunite with his loving wife of 50 years, Cecile.
