Ellen M. Michaud

WOODLAND – Ellen M. Michaud, 82, wife of the late Guy Michaud, died Aug. 28, 2012, in Bath. She was born Feb. 2, 1930, in Caribou, daughter of the late Thomas and Avis (Hale) Grant.

She was a graduate of Caribou High School, as well as Madigan Memorial Hospital School of Nursing. She was employed as a registered nurse at Cary Memorial Hospital for several years. Mrs. Michaud was a member of First Baptist Church, New Sweden, and more recently a member of First Baptist Church, Woodland. Ellen and Guy were active members of First Baptist Church of New Sweden food pantry, where they spent countless hours helping to grow and support the program.

She is survived by her son, Rodney Michaud of Bath; daughter and son-in-law, Robin and Wally Babbidge of Ellisville, Miss.; sister, Barbara Smith of Woodland; six grandchildren, Melinda Fournier, Richard Michaud, Shanna Babbiddge, Lori Pavlov, Carlton and John Babbidge; and two great-granddaughters, Sophia Pavlov and Lacey Fournier. Mrs. Michaud was predeceased by her husband, Guy, in 2004; and two brothers, Lloyd and Keith Grant.

Friends may call 11 a.m. until the time of service Friday, Aug. 31, at Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir St., Caribou, where funeral services will be held 1 p.m. with the Rev. Ron Rosser officiating. Interment will be at Northern Maine Veterans Cemetery. www.mocklerfuneralhome.com
