Wow, seriously no one saw this
Guess somebody must be havin’ a big party.
Couple things don’t add up : If it happened “believed to have occurred either late Monday or early Tuesday.” Why was it not discovered and reported until “Tuesday afternoon “? These are usually located right next to the front door, and you have to unlock them at the start of a shift.. Why did it get 250$ worth of damage? They are locked shut with a padlock….All you need is bolt cutters. On a side note, its sad that frozen water cost money. I see an insurance claim and a new ice chest coming.
sounds to me like they didnt bring the bolt cutters and instead had to rip the door off its hinges no doubt the actual ice box sustained damage that will require professional repairs. My guess is $250 will be the cost of said repairs.
Any recent purchases of a couple of kegs in the area?
That is a lot of ice. Just look for a large beach party and you might just find the culprits.
that is just cold, man
Geez, somebody call the FBI!!
honestly, who steals ice?.. if you have a freezer, which is required to STORE ice, you can also MAKE ice using that same appliance for exactly $0, and a few hours of your time.
These guys must have been extremely impatient or extremely stupid.
67 bags is alot of ice trays to be dumped, refilled, and dumped again. My guess is anyone willing to steal from another is probly too lazy for such work.
“Ice Cold Bandits make off with frozen booty!”
“Chilling robbery leaves store owner and police ‘out in the cold’ ”
“Freeze! Ice-Jacking theives make slippery getaway”
“Frigid Five Finger Discounters make off with cool loot under the hot sun”
Seriously any of these titles would’ve been more enjoyable.
they’ll probly never solve this one, it will end up in the ‘cold case’ files.
The trail has gone cold.
