Outlook: The Black Bears get their final nonconference tune-up with a visit to the home of the Portland Sea Dogs, the Class AA affiliate of the Boston Red Sox. UMaine took two of three at Hartford last weekend and is gearing up for a four-game America East set against league-leading Stony Brook that begins Friday in Orono. The Bears have locked up a spot in next week’s America East tournament. The Eagles of the Atlantic Coast Conference also are wrapping up their nonleague slate before a weekend series against Duke. Boston College, which has struggled in ACC play (9-18), beat Fordham 15-3 Sunday but had lost its previous four games. The Eagles have two Portland natives on their roster in junior catcher Matt Pare (.246, 3 HR, 21 RBI), and freshman infielder Nick Colucci.
