Mary Ann Bradbury grimaces as she lies in the middle of Sabattus Street in Lewiston on Monday afternoon after being hit by a car. She was crossing the street after being dropped off in the parking lot of Bourque’s Market by her mother, Pat Lavoie of Lewiston. It was unclear to anyone at the scene who hit Bradbury, who was taken by ambulance to a hospital.

  1. No report here of a hit and run driver.

I do wonder why people can’t look at their surroundings and determine that they are in a possible dangerous place. Any place where vehicles are being driven, RR tracks, etc. Please don’t assume that the operators of those vehicles will see you or even dream that you will step out in front of them.

  2. Why did the BDN choose to publish this photo?  Give the victim some privacy in her pain and suffering!  If that were me, I’d be pissed.

    1. But it’s perfectly fine for an “alleged criminal” to have his picture posted here?

Secondly, I think the woman in the photo will be OK about the photograph, especially if they find the hit and run driver.

  3. That picture is as low as you can go in journalism.  Get a life BDN.  Or, do you plan on changing the name to the “Bangor Daily Enquirer”?  Absolutely no more morals.

  4. And I’m sure she just enjoyed having her photo put on the BDN site…..Come on, what if that was your kid? Would you want the whole world to see that?

  5. why wasn’t she immobilized;and what’s a  ‘lighter-leash?? is that what I think it is??

  6. Naw, she probably LOVES having this picture broadcasted on the internet.  Works better in court for the lawsuit — proof she was in horrific pain that will haunt her for the rest of her life and prevent her from working again.
