ACTON, Maine — A local man is behind bars Monday after police arrested him in connection with an assault at a Lebanon tavern last month.

Jason Mowry, 33, was arrested Feb. 10 and charged with aggravated assault, a Class B felony, York County Major William King said in a news release.

On Jan. 27, Gilbert Perez, 27, of Moody was arrested after allegedly beating another man unconscious at Trains Tavern in Lebanon. He posted $10,000 cash bail.

If convicted, Mowry faces up to 10 years in jail on the assault charge. He is currently at the York County Jail on $50,000 cash bail.
