SOUTHWEST HARBOR, Maine — One of Maine’s best-known boat builders is launching the first yacht in a new line of luxury motor vessels.
The Hinckley Co. will be launching the first yacht of its Talaria T48 series Wednesday at its boatyard in Southwest Harbor.
The 50-foot yacht is modeled after the original Talaria series of boats, which resemble swanky versions of traditional Down East lobster boats. The T48 has a redefined hull and can cruise at 30 knots while drawing only 32 inches of water.
Gov. Paul LePage will be on hand for the launching.

Does Hinckley still build sailboats or do they just produce imitation lobster boats which use 10 gallons/mile of fuel?
As was pointed out by JJ, they do indeed still make those beautiful sailboats.

Yes, pretty indeed. Glad to see they still make them.
