PATRICK ANDREW ‘PAT’ BROWN

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – Patrick Andrew "Pat" Brown, born May 6, 1922, quietly left us to meet Jesus Jan. 10, 2012, in Pompano Beach, Fla. Pat started life in Eagle Lake, as the 16th of 18 children born to William E. and Delia (Lafferiere) Brown.

Pat served proudly in the Army during World War II. People rich and poor, from far and wide, and even some very famous celebrities, enjoyed his music and his voice, especially in Miami and Atlanta at the famous Mouse Trap Restaurant and Lounge. Pat was also a regular entertainer in Cape Cod, Mass. He was a longtime resident of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.

Pat leaves behind a sister, Eileen Cyr and her husband, Chick, of Southington, Conn.; a brother, James Brown and his wife, Doris, of Springfield, Va.; and several nieces and nephews, who knew him to be a favorite uncle, especially in Boca Raton, Fla.

There will be a memorial service 1 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 24, at Fred Hunters Hollywood Funeral Home, 6301 Taft St., Hollywood, Fla. In lieu of flowers, please send donations in Patrick Brown’s name to VITAS Foundation for End of Life Care, 5420 NW 33rd Ave., No. 100, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33309.
