PRESQUE ISLE, Maine — Local, state and federal police are still searching for a Littleton man who is wanted in connection with a meth lab discovered last month in a home on Main Street in Presque Isle.
Ronald Lewis, 21, is wanted on charges of trafficking methamphetamine, according to Darrell Crandall, division commander of the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency. Police already have arrested 28-year-old Leland Alger of Presque Isle and 23-year-old Ray Varney of Houlton as a result of their investigation in the case.
Agents from the MDEA executed a search warrant at the Main Street residence on Dec. 29 after coming to suspect that methamphetamine was being manufactured there.
Crandall said significant evidence of methamphetamine manufacturing was found at the residence and that sampling of that evidence was under way.
Evidence was taken to the Health and Environmental Testing Laboratory in Augusta for chemical analysis.
He said that no one else has been charged in connection with the operation of the lab, but the U.S. Marshals Service has joined with the MDEA in the search for Lewis.
The last reported sighting of Lewis was in northern Maine on Jan. 4. Agents believe Lewis is aware he is being sought by police and is evading arrest.
Alger and Varney have both been charged with trafficking methamphetamine.
These crimes are Class B felonies, for which the maximum punishment is 10 years in prison.
Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Lewis is urged to call the U.S. Marshal’s Violent Offender Task Force at 780-3355.

Thats not true!! They arrested him at the Presque Isle Forum ice skating. My brother in law was there. He must be snitching.
Why is it that you seem to know so much about the crime that goes on in the Presque Isle area, and who’s involved?
I live in P.I. area and I watch and read the news.
right…
Right?
Are you making an assumption?
Im sure my comment will be removed now unless the person they got at the ice rink was a 4th person in this case, but no 4th suspect was ever mentioned on the news!
Um, you do realize that just because someone got arrested, doesn’t mean that it was him… right?
After the arrest the agents gathered up all the kids and told them they were sorry and that this was the last person they were looking for in the lab bust. Call me crazy but a 12 year old isnt gonna make all this up.
