FRENCHVILLE and MADAWASKA – Leola Thibodeau, 79, died peacefully surrounded by family Jan. 3, 2012, at a Frenchville health care facility. She was born Aug. 14, 1932, in Fort Kent, the daughter of John and Julliet (Bouchard) Dumond.

Leola was a lifetime member of the Disabled American Veterans.

She is survived by her six children, Arnold Thibodeau of Stockholm, Carroll Thibodeau of Fort Kent, Rhonda Bard of Fort Kent, Sheldon Thibodeau of Bangor, Elmer Thibodeau Jr. of Brewer and Joel Thibodeau of Corrina; 17 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Elmer Thibodeau, in 1999; one daughter, Barbara Dubois; and one son, William Henry Thibodeau. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 7, at Christian Life Fellowship Church, 123 AE Main St., Madawaska. Spring burial will be held at Caribou Veterans Cemetery. Arrangements are a service of Daigle Funeral Home.
